Our Ann Arbor Love story

Once upon a time, in the winter of 2017, two Michigan students crossed paths in a hopeless place—the Chi Phi basement. Kensi was an energetic freshman, Andy a confident sophomore, and though they didn’t know it yet, a beautiful chapter had just begun.

About a year later, they made it official when Andy took Kensi on a date to Amers deli (he’s always been a romantic). That summer, they took their first trip together to Rhode Island, where Andy proudly ate lobster for six meals, and where the two of them talked—really talked—about the future. It became the first place they imagined a life, a family, and a forever together.

Their adventures continued across the world: Italy, and then Lisbon, a city that felt enchanting from the very beginning…almost like it was whispering something about their future.

When Andy moved to San Francisco in 2019, they kept up long-distance through facetime dinner dates and cross-country visits. In 2020, when the world slowed down, Kensi and Andy took a leap and moved to Chicago, creating two incredible years filled with laughter, growth, lifelong friendships, and the sweetest kind of everyday magic.

In 2022, their story moved to New York for Kensi’s PA program—a year of semi long-distance, late nights, and challenges that Andy supported her through without hesitation. Kensi graduated PA school in December 2024…

And one month later in January 2025, while visiting Lisbon, Andy shocked Kensi with a proposal atop a castle—bringing their love story full circle in the most enchanted way.

Now they live together in New York City, creating their next chapter side by side, planning the wedding, and dreaming about their future goals and ambitions together.

And they cannot wait to share their love and this magical celebration with their closest family and friends who’ve been central to their journey the whole way through.
